Doing Justice. Loving Mercy.
What is the Christian Advocacy Society? We are an urban mission imperfectly demonstrating the love of Jesus to our neighbours.
In 26 years of ministry we have assisted over 16,500 women in distress. This figure does not include innumerable crisis phone calls or thousands of teenagers who have participated in our Sexual Integrity presentations in high schools and for youth groups.
Our modest charity has played a role beyond Greater Vancouver.
We co-founded Focus on Life with Signal Hill and the Archdiocese of Vancouver. By collaborating, we “engage culture through life-changing media” on the value of life, the vulnerable, and offer care for pregnant and post abortion women.
Our charity helped co-found the Canadian Association of Pregnancy Support Services. This national best practice association equips and encourages crisis pregnancy centres, and assists in the development of new centres.
We operate the nation-wide outreach, OnlineCare Canada. Many communities have no access to a pregnancy centre or abortion grief recovery program. OnlineCare offers support by a web-based service enabling confidential communication between clients and peer counsellors.
By invitation, our charity provides trainings for fledgling ministries overseas, often in developing countries. To date: Australia, Bhutan, Cambodia, England, France, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Japan, Kenya, Korea, Malawi, Mongolia, Nepal, Turkey, Uganda, United States, Vietnam and Zambia.
We are encouraged by the church community. We observe, daily, volunteers living out their faith by reaching out to those in need. And we are grateful for the kindness and generosity of people like you who help finance our unique urban mission. Thank you.
